In the words of Pastor Jesus Pérez:
"I was born in Veracruz, Mexico. At age 17, I went to study at Mexico City and there I met and married Sister Isabel Perez. From this happy marriage we now have 3 children, Hernan, Paola and Eden.
In 1997 I immigrated to United States looking for personal aspirations, but my thoughts and goals where different from what God had planned for me. Being alone away from my family, and having no one by my side in this new country, I wanted to search and experience something that would fill the emptiness in my soul.
The first time I visited E.V.P.C; I experienced a change in my heart and mind, and found what I was searching for.
In June 1998 I was baptized according to the book of Acts 2:38, and was filled with the Holy Ghost, giving my life to the Lord Jesus Christ. Soon after, my wife and three children came to live with me, and now we all serve the Lord together with all our hearts. One thing I always say and am assured of, “God will never fail me.”
My vision is to continue the vision of our Lord Jesus Christ. To preach and share the gospel so that everyone can be baptized in Jesus name and become disciples for God's kingdoms."

"Nací en Veracruz, México. A los 17 años de edad fui a estudiar a la Ciudad de México, donde conocí a mi Esposa Hermana Isabel Pérez, de este feliz matrimonio tenemos 3 hijos Hernan, Paola y Edén.
En 1997 inmigre a los Estados Unidos en busca de aspiraciones personales, pero mis pensamientos y metas eran diferente a lo que Dios ya tenía planeado para mí. El estar solo, lejos de mi familia y no tener, buscaba una experiencia de algo que llenara el vacio de mi alma.
La primera vez que visite E.V.P.C experimente un cambio en mi corazón, mente y encontré lo que tanto buscaba. En Junio 1998 fui bautizado de acuerdo al libro de Hechos 2:38 y fui lleno del Espíritu Santo, dándole mi vida al señor JesúsCristo. Poco después mi esposa y tres hijos vinieron a vivir conmigo y ahora todos servimos al Señor con todos nuestros corazones. Una cosa siempre digo y puedo asegurar que “Elnunca me ha fallado”.
Mi visión es de continuar la visión del señor Jesús Cristo. Predicar el evangelio para hacer discípulos y que toda criatura sea bautizada en el nombre de Jesús Cristo."
Today, he is a dedicated man of God, who is a great leader and a Pastor to the Spanish Ministry here at East Valley. Pastor Fernandez, because of his valuable insight, is a member of the East Valley Pentecostal Church Board as an Elder.
