IMAGINE 

Before any reaction, there must be an action.  Before every action there must be a thought or a vision.  A vision begins when we first IMAGINE what are the unlimited possibilities.  When we give our imaginations and visions over to Jesus Christ he multiplies and develops them beyond our wildest imaginings!

IMAGINE is the outreach ministry of East Valley Pentecostal Church.  

WHAT IS "IMAGINE" OUTREACH?

1. As we follow Jesus, we put our faith in action (Luke 6:46-49)

  • As Christ gave himself for us, we are called to servanthood (Matthew 16:24, Ephesians 5:2).
  • Jesus commissions His followers (John 20:21) to continue His kingdom work of restoring those who are broken in body, soul and spirit (Luke 4:18-19).

2.  If we love God, we will love people "in actions and in truth" (1 John 3:18, 4:7-8)

  • The Great Commandment and the Great Commission link the passionate love of God, servant-love of neighbor, and the mandate to make disciples (Matthew 22:38-39, 28:19).

3.  Proclaiming and demonstrating God's love in action go hand-in-hand. (Luke 9:2)

  • Jesus' ministry modeled a blend of word and deed—preaching good news, healing the sick, and breaking the power of evil (Matthew 9:35).

  • Actions without words are insufficient (Romans 10:14), but words without actions lack credibility (Luke 7:20-22). The church's good deeds amplify its witness, drawing people to the light (Matthew 5:16).

It is our desire to reach out to our community in various venues of community service, to keep our city informed of our church events, take the gospel to the streets, and live an "everyday outreach lifestyle."  

Outreach is not simply going out to knock on doors one Saturday a month, but it is much more,  It is being able to "IMAGINE" our neighbors, business contacts, family members, and new acquaintances in a new light...in the IMAGE of Christ.  As we begin to "IMAGINE" or envision the world through Jesus eyes, we see how people were created to be, not what they have currently become.

  • Imagine yourself being lead by the Holy Ghost to reach out to pray for a soul on the street or at work.
  • Imagine that same person being filled with God's Spirit right there where you stand, because you cared to reach out.

This is just the beginning of lifestyle evangelism.  

This is the beginning of a God-infused passionate vision that is birthed when you first begin to IMAGINE.
